I did until today.

I mean, shit, I bike ride a couple times a week, and do cardio on the other days. I am about 6' 230lbs. I rode a 25 mile bike ride this morning, and thought I would stuggle.

One thing, I cut the drinking out for a few weeks.

Got up at 4am this morning, and headed to the riverfront. Started off slow, with some old fuckers blowing by me. No shit, these dudes had to be at least 65-70, I was like WTF. But I was pacing myself, I knew the BIG ASS hill was at the 18 mile marker, and it is a BITCH. And I'd catch their asses their.

Anyways, everyone that blew by my ass in the begining, was walking their ass up the hill in the end, as I used my "reserved" energy to motor on up the hill.

Overall, it was a good ride, actually, it was a great ride, I loved it.

I compare it to gambling in a sense. If you run full force and try to finish to quick(make the quick score) you could bust out. If you sit back, enjoy the ride, and wait for the right time.....you will get there, and finish ahead of others more times than not.

Even though this was not a race, it felt good finish within my Goal.

Have gained 50 pounds in last 5 years. Too much drinking and eating bad. Hit a milestone yesterday and it is time to put the weight in reverse.

I'm 5'7" and weigh a solid(yeah right) 195. I'm fat and out of shape but recently when trying to run around and catch my son out in the yard I got winded. F that I thought. I played hockey for 15 years and now I can't run around the yard and not be winded! I told my wife to lock the fridge and get off the oliptical. I need to lose about 30lbs and I'd feel much better. I can't help but think that this sitting in front of my computer screen may not be helping much.

I'm morbidly obese, for sure.

But I can still surprisingly ball out...your stroke never truly leaves. Snap.

With winter not far off, it's crucial to maintain what you work for all summer..

Remember how it feels in the spring when you let yourself slip over the past winter! Not happening again...

With fitness, you're either 'coming' or 'going' there really is no in between...and it should be approached like a never ending journey, consistency is the key.

im 6'1 195

I can lift weight pretty good. Just recently started taking the creatine used by the University of Nebraska which is bad ass.

However I need to do some cardio besides sex. I need to hit the treadmill. I walk up about 5 flights of stairs and start getting winded.

Drinking does not help for sure. Neither does football season.
Both of which are right around the corner.

Funny you should ask. I'm 46, 6' tall and one month ago I hit 230lb. I said enough of this. Started walking 3 miles a day and this morning I am at 217. Still a long way to go but I take it day by day.
