Toronto

First 5 Innings : Toronto -.5 (-132) ... 2.64 Unit / 2.00 Unit

==========

Really not much to say on this play. I'm basically just playing against Russ Ortiz, which has shown to be a safe bet all season. Ortiz comes into Toronto today showing no signs of improving anytime soon. Ortiz has 10 starts so far this year, going 0-7 while sporting a 9.61 ERA and a crazy 2.27 WHIP in those "starts". And to pour some more "salt in the wound", his road woes reflect even worse numbers. In 5 games on the road, he is 1-4, sporting a 11.65 ERA and a 2.65 WHIP. His last outing against Tampa Bay (who ranks #28 in runs scored), he allowed 5 hits and 6 earned runs, without even recording a out.

In his 10 starts this year, Ortiz is only averaging 3.52 innings per outing, so I don't expect him to go the entire 5 innings that I bet against him. However, the 4 or 5 runs he'll allow before his early departure should be good enough for Toronto to at least hold the lead, as Baltimore comes into today's game averaging only 2.6 runs per game during their last 5 games. Add Lilly into the mix, who's pitching well at home (7-5, 3.38 ERA, 1.40 WHIP), and this should be a good bet.

Prediction After 5 Innings
Toronto 4 - Baltimore 2
