That used to be the saying in Bookmaking Circles as it was thought all the Pro's and Sharps unloaded at the last minute, after everything was kosher. There has always been plenty of comment on here as to Sharp and Square Money, when and where its bet but never Who?
Going back to the Bookmaking Angle, it was really a Myth thrown up by Drones working for the Big outlets, anyone who dealt with Pros knew they would never leave it late. The Myth probably come about owing to Short Term Memories of Steamers taking bucket loads of Cash out of the Hod. In fact this wedge was nothing more than Small Books hedgeing liabilities, especially if the Big Books had put up a distorted price and the Books shoring up their margins late.
I was just wondering if the late Off-Shore movements could be caused not by Live Money but like the Old Days, hedgeing Locals and Books closing Shop on an Event. I'm convinced Pinnacle use the Old Knee-Jerk System Books used to use at Tracks before the Clientel got more informed of collectively wiping a price off the boards in order to make the Mugs steam in thinking it was live. Just a thought. :drink:
