In order to try and make everybody's stay run as smooth and as fun as possible, I wish to try to answer anyone who has questions about the host site for the upcoming Bash.
Others feel free to chime in as well.

I'm trying to catch up on bills and emails, so feel free to fire away.

Does any late night entertainment hang out at the IP?

If so, what bar?

SCnit,
We have karaoke upstairs at night.

If you are referring to "ladies of the night", yes they are all over the place. If you can't find them, you don't know what you are looking for.

GD--Are you at all concerned with all the plane/carloads of sharp RXers that will be firing on all cylinders into your sportsbook numbers at the Imperial Palace?

Thanks! Not interested in Karaoke.

Fish,
No not at all. As a manager I make it clear that I treat all bettors with the same respect and they should know what to expect when it comes to limits, moves, etc. If I have to refuse someone a bet or limit them, I will gladly take the time to explain to them my philosophy and why we do what we do.

Bigdog,
There are a plethora of dining options within a stone's throw of the IP. To each his own and I think we can find something for everyone.
I do eat at the buffet nearly every day, and while I would not exactly classify it as gourmet, it is a serviceable option especially when it is free.

200 people attending
150 claim to be sharp
20 really are sharp

The Doberman should get a bonus for bringing all this new money into the IP

Couple other dining options nearby:
Battista's Hole-in-the-Wall (Legendary Vegas Italian joint with tons of ambience, Viking will be happy to know they have endless wine with dinner)

Margaritaville (next door at Flamingo, a little touristy for me, but Buffett fans will enjoy)

Samba (meat-lover's heaven at Mirage, just don't sit next to me after dinner there)

Sushi Roku (in new Forum Shops expansion, excellent Japanese food)

Olives (in Bellagio, one of the nicer restaurants in the city for your buck)

Mon Ami Gabi (outdoor cafe with Strip view in Paris, great romantic spot)

Commander's Palace (Desert Passage in Aladdin, probably my favorite restaurant in town, don't miss the $0.25 martini lunch, up to four Mon-Thu.)

probably a ton of others, the gourmet and celebrity chef restaurants in most hotels as well as some chain places that are consistently good.

All within a short walk (yes, even in the August heat).

WVU,
The importance is in showing respect to everyone, the squares and the sharps.
I like the challenge of going up against the best as well.

I had a feeling there was nothing wrong with the buffet. Plus hasnt it changed or something recently? Anyways, good thread GD.

What are the Blackjack games there? I'm not one to wander too far away from the Hotel.

Greenie, What would you consider the BEST Steak in Las Vegas?

I personally love ruth's Chris' T-bone..Or the Cajun ribeye at Mortons..can you think of anything better than that?

Been to the steakhouse at Circus Circus and its not in the same league as those two if you ask me...

Also in the movie "Casino", Nicky Santoro runs an italian place called "the leaning tower", does that or whatever place it was supposed to be, still exist?
