i like to make odds for a lot of various things...i use a very simple log 5 method to create lines for the yahoo fantasy baseball league i am in...i then post the odds i make and then one sharp cookie, in the league, makes his picks (everone else is just confused by '-145'). i think it is a way to "spice things up" .

about 80% of the time yahoo deletes any post i make concerning odds. this is strage because 1) they display odds for all of the major sports (so they cant be anti-gambling, can they?) 2) these dont even imply that people are gambling 3) they allow intense 'your momma' and other various forms of 'trash talking'.

i am just curious as to what you guys think....are probablilities THAT offensive?

I think some retard who misunderstands Yahoo's stance on gambling happens to be the guy reading your forum...

I would guess Yahoo made an announcement about not accepting gambling ads years ago and this guy just heard that and figures why not delete.

Now what really surprises me is this: Yahoo and Google likely lose 10s of millions of dollars by not accepting gambling ads every year - maybe even hundreds of millions. It costs between $1 and 2 million to truly proceed with a federal court case against the DOJ for free speech rights. Casinocity tried and the DOJ got it thrown out by saying we did not threaten you and we do not plan to threaten you. Why hasn't one of these companies like Yahoo or Google filed the same suit against the DOJ? That could not be thrown out as they were threatened. Then a federal judge would actually have to make a ruling. They could rule against (I'd say 50%) but Yahoo or google would be betting $1-2million for hundreds of millions on a 50/50 wager.

That's strange to say the least.....Don't tell me the paranoia level regarding mentioning gambling is THAT high.

They delete posts that are typed up a certain way. It does it autmoatically. Try to type it as one huge paragraph and see if it stays.
