Mr. Dante, without reading the article. What could possibly be good about that?!

I would think this falls into the 'very sad stuff IMO' category.

I mean, sheesh. Have some freaking self control.

Unfortunately, this story will probably sway more people into taking away our right to do with our money as we please. :(

Sad story...

Idiot husband - If my wife was running up $50000 on credit cards and losing, I would cancel the credit cards. Let her do whatever the hell she wants with her credit, but she aint taking me down with her.

If she has an admitted problem (As she admitted) you take her off the damn bank account and give her ex amount per week.

News is NEVER made by the sensible gambler. TV commercials don't cost a fortune for people to read/ hear/ see how Uncle Bill lost a little and had self control and enjoyed himself along with millions of others. But people will pay to listen to how Mr. Thief robbed first National and shot 3 people to support his gambling habit!

Vegas--I hear ya calling.

The thing that I hate about these stories is that it 9 out of 10 times involves slot machines...something that casinos love to spread about every inch of the casino floor since they have the biggest advantage of any game. Here in Wisconsin bars have anywhere from 3-8 of them since they know they bring in money and they get anywhere from 40%-60% of the profit.

Slot machines are the crime here. Yes this happens but I hate when these stories get placed together with poker and sports betting. I have heard of people making a living off of poker and sports betting...heck even blackjack and horses. I have yet to read about a professional slot machine player. That is cuz the casino has an unbeatable advantage with those machines. Everything that leaves a machine is bond to come right back in.

Slots are truly gambling in the truest sense of the word!!

EXACTLY!!! That is because the majority of people playing those slot machines are chasing the "dream" of the big payout...they are the same ones who fork tons of cash down on the lottery and instant tickets, yet........................the GOV is attacking the sports investors and poker players....

Ace...I forgot about the biggest scam of them all.....lottos. When you hear the stats that say that you have a better chance of getting struck by lightening than hitting the lotto tell me who is getting the better end of that deal. But YOU WILL NEVER hear a story printed about someone that spent their life savings playing scratch offs and the weekly powerball. I'm sure that would NEVER get printed. The state has their hand in the biggest cookie jar scam out there and doesn't want anybody else to play.

BS!!!
