I have no intentions of seeing either of these films. And most of you know I am a huge fan of movies.

Oliver Stone, give it a break pal.

I hope you enjoy it, Brock, but I must agree with the others.

Having lived through 9/11 and seeing hundreds of hours of video and hearing hundreds of stories, any attempt to compress the magnitude and events of that day into a 2 hour movie will by design fall short.

I'm guessing it will focus on a few human interest stories that will overshadow the actual event (a la Pearl Harbor, Titanic, etc.). Someday if it's the Sunday afternoon movie on WGN, I might watch it (unless football is on), but I won't pay $$ to see it.

Now that we've all pissed on it, have a nice time!!!!!:103631605

Just saying, never saw any movie as intense or well done as United 93, that is EASILY the best movie of the last 10 or 15 years...

And if World Trade Center comes close, its very much worth seeing.

I have to politely disagree to a great extent.

Having said that, glad you enjoyed the movie............and to each his own.

Though if you didn't see United 93, how can you comment? Its filmmaking without an agenda, and storytelling at the highest level.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I think it will be a long time before something is as well done as 'Good Will Hunting'

There have been a number of better movies then United 93 in the last 10-15 years. WTC I don't care to see. Any movie with Nicholas Cage isn't worth seeing regardless of what the movie is about.

I like those films, but with the exception of Schindlers list they contain too many elements of unrealism. I just don't care for all the black & white in SL, the Wizard of oz effect seems a bit old to me.

Shawshank has to be the most over rated movie of all time. Andy does everyone's taxes, he digs a tunnel behind a poster of Rita Hayworth, he stays friends with a Black guy who just happens to be able to get every item in the world smuggled into prison when at the time being friends with a brother is a tad socially unplausible. The film does a terrefic job of showing a strong bond of friendship. There's just too much reaching being done. I like it though, it's a good watch.

my personal opinion everyone should visit nyk and see the wtc site

to fully appreciate the sacrifice of people on that day and also the troops overseas now

in saying that i wont see this movie its just too sad and depressing to have to re-live those events again

i can see where it will also help people who need it - so i agree it was a good idea to make the movie but just not for everyone to see.

Exactly. If you really want get the full effect, take the PATH train from Hoboken to NY City. It comes out from New Jersey and into the footprints of the twin towers. It is beyond words the feeling you get when you come out of the tunnel and end up in there. You are actually in the pit looking up. I've never heard anyone talk when you get to that point of the trip yet.

agree with the others here...nothing special about FLIGHT 93. No interest in seeing WTC either...i rather watch my tapes of the real thing instead of someone making a buck off what they think happened in a movie. Only went to FLIGHT 93 cause someone else wanted to see it so i obliged. Best movie in 15 years ...come on...but as they say...

different strokes for different folks!

The acting was awful, imo. One of the WORST films I've seen in a long time, so was happy that it was at least free on cable.

Oliver Stone will do a better job directing, without question. Too bad Nick Cage is in it, tho. He's not a very good actor, either.

Well just got back, GOOD movie, not Great. It gives you a good idea of what people who were inside at the time were seeing/thinking. They had no idea the buildings had fallen in their entirety.

Would recommend for anyone to see, much better than the average movie, but still think United 93 was better.

You must be talking about the movie that was on A & E, NOT the one that was in theatres back in April...
