Looking at the Yankee/White Sox game tonight. Not particularly enamoured with Randy Johnson's recent outings as he struckout exactly zero, yes zero, batters in each of the last two games while yielding 4 and 6 earned runs respectively in 6 and 3+ innings respectively. His has a road 5.16 ERA. Meanwhile, John Garland has run off 8 straight wins with a 2.98 ERA in his last 5 starts and a home 3.50 ERA for the season with the last one at home being an 8 inning scoreless gem giving up 6 hits with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk. The playoff atmosphere was clearly evident last night for anyone who watched that game as the Sox came from behind in the bottom of the 9th inning to tie the game 5-5 when Paul Konerko hit a home run off Mariano Rivera. From there the Sox went on to win 6-5 in the 11th inning. If there is such a thing in baseball as momentum, last night's win and the playoff feeling should carryover to tonight's game. Hence,
1* Chicago White Sox (+111)(Pinnacle)
Year To Date Record: 9-7 (+2.91)
Good Luck All.
