Looking to buy a car something around 30k or less and something sporty. Has to be quick and 4 passenger a least but doesen't have to be 4door. What do you guys drive?

why pay 30K for something that depreciates in value? Go buy a used car if you have to have something.

I NEED 4 wheel drive, so I'm a SUV driving pig.

But my 4 Runner still gets 20-22 in the city....and I couldn't be happier with the way that it's held up-and it's been in a LOT of places that it had no business being!!!!!!

I have a BMW and I love it. 30 grand won't cover it unless you get one a couple years old

.....and you better check insurance rates before you buy it.

I was going to buy a 540i a couple years ago until I saw what the f'ing insurance on it was going to be!!!!!!!!!! TWICE that of a 4 Runner...WTF???

BMW traditionally has one of the lowest insurance rates. Drivers are generally older and safer. Less injuries to occupants of the vehicle than most other cars. My car has 8 airbags. My rates are extremely low and I live in a fairly expensive area insurance wise. I have a $250 deductable and I pay about 900 per year. My driving record is clean which helps.

WTF? What model\engine? I suspect the "40" was my problem.

'05 330i

not nearly the cost of a 540 so that would probably run me more. A friend of mine has the same car and he pays twice what I do and lives in the same neighborhood. I have a multi car policy which also lowers it. I also lied and said my commute is less than 10 miles.

If you really want a nice car that's loaded for 30 grand look into the Buick Lucerne. Really a HOT car. For 30 grand you get the V-8 with EVERYTHING!

I wouldn't buy the Buick I have drove them and did some testing on those cars.

Whatever car you decide on get the siderail airbags for sure. They work great and will save many injuries in the future. Get as many airbags as you can. Knee bolster airbags are also a great innovation. My buddy at work just totaled his car and he would be a lot worse off if he didn't have the knee bolster airbags. Keep in mind you still need to wear the seatbelts to go along with the airbags. The seatbelt keeps you in place while the airbags prevents you from getting nailed.
