But I think they will win it as they are just a tick below Ohio St and get that game at home with an easier Big-10 schedule.

That is all.

Iowa won't be that good

(Despite what the bandwagon around here may try to say)

Iowa will be favored by more than a TD in 10 out of 12 of their games. I expect an undefeated season....10-2 at worst

I'll buy that. Looking to throw a 5 spot on OSU to win it all.

Penn St. could be a Big Ten sleeper.

Michigan has some talent, but until they get rid of Lloyd Carr, no need to even consider.

I think Penn will be crap personally. Bottom half of the Big-10.

In terms of talent, I have:

Been looking forward to this seasons IOWA schedule for about 2.9 years now knowing that if the HAWKS could produce any kind of top 15 calibur team they could have a shot at playing in the national title game.

Will they succeed in that???...............still a rather large underdog in doing so imo, but they at least have a legit shot.

FWIW, love the Orangeman over the Hawks plus the points early on in the season.

Iowa again overrated this year. Kirk, not quite good enough recruiter to get to the Ohio St. and Michigan levels.

HUH?

They have finished the season as one of the TOP EIGHT teams in the country in 3 out of the last 4 years.

They also had a BANNER recruiting year in 2005.

If you think their program is at Ohio St and Michigan level you are wrong. Have never won anything. Go win a national title sometime. Haven't even really flirted with doing that yet, let alone do it.

They will be an underdog for sure, not a bold prediction in the least.

Underdog at home to OSU too.

That is a TOUGHER schedule than you think. Montana can bring it. NILL no slouch either, they have kicked big 10 ass before.

MONTANA has won the BIG SKY conference 3 straight years and is very well coached..............however doubt if a DIV II team will tackle the Hawkeyes this year.

SYRACUSE will be much better than people think..........but again, a team that is predicted near the bottom of their conference.

IOWA STATE on most occassions always gives the Hawks a battle, and they have a fairly good team this year too.

NORTHERN ILLINOIS should be contender in the MAC.

With the HAWKS playing TWELVE regular season games this year, NINE wins appears to be the number with the greatest chance of falling for TOTAL WINS for this team.

9-3

Holding out for 11-1 or 12-0, but that will be asking a LOT.........to say the least.

Either way, going to be another fun year of Hawkeye football.
