A's -161 over TB
Fossum/Blanton
Fossum has pitched well in his last couple games but has suffered on the road along with the rest of his teammates. TB is 18-43 on the road.

The A's get confidence in Friday night's game where they out ran TB down the home stretch. Blanton has won 4 out of his last 5 starts. The A's will look to widen their lead over the Angels in the West.

I have a 3-game winning streak. Let's make this 4 games in a row.

Anything possible. Oakland should win at home vs a bad road team with worst pen in AL, but Rays have had success vs Blanton.

Who really knows?

You're right The_Man, any team can beat any other team on a given night. I'm betting that the A's have more motivation here and TB just seems to lose these games on the road. Friday night showed how they were tied with the A's 2-2 until later innings when the TB bullpen gave up 3 runs. If it gets to be the same situation on Saturday I think we'll see a similar result as Friday night.

Thanks for the input.

A's score the fewest runs per game against lefties.
Rays score the fewest runs per game against righties.

Probably obvious what I'm playing, but if I took a side, it would be the dog. Anyway, good luck, hope Blanton pitches a shutout.

Thanks again for the input. While the Rays score more runs against lefties they are still 8-13 on the road against lefties. Perhaps they give up more runs against lefties on the road as well.

I went with TB today. Their pitcher usually does well against Oakland, Oakland's pitcher usually does poorly against TB. They both have bad offenses so I think the difference in their bullpens/relief is not as important.

5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd for the A's. Let's hope Blanton can close the door on this one.

Plenty of game left to play though.

Keep up your streak, good job. TB is a nice team to fade on the road, also Oakland is a nice team to be betting this time of year. Smart move to jump on these plays....

Thanks Pat. I value your opinion.

4-1 out of the last 5 although I pick mostly favorites.
