Good info on baltimores struggles with left handed pitching

No conversation about hitting lefties can be complete without including the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore is setting a new standard for futility against left-handed pitching with an 11-26 record heading into Friday’s action and 15.84 units lost on the season.
The Baltimore situation is such an interesting one because the O`s actually have a winning record against right-handed pitching (46-43). Over the last two seasons, no team has had a winning record against righties and finished the season more than eight games under .500 except the 2004 Orioles. They finished the season 58-54 against righties and 20-30 against lefties. Don’t expect things to get any better for the O’s now that right-handed hitting catcher/designated hitter javy lopez is now with the Boston. Lopez was one of the few Orioles that could hit lefties - his .273 batting average against left-handers was among the best on the team.

Good stuff!! The key to fading Baltimore vs lefties is when they face one on the road. The Orioles are right around .500 vs lefties at home, but on the road they have only won a couple times. Of all the losses vs lefties on the road, I believe all but 1 was by 2 runs or more.
