Why are so many people rushing in to say BOS isn't going to pay? One poster after another are out assuming BOS has no money and was always a stiff job. While you can't rule anything out, there is a LOT of money still under control of the BOS organization. Will it be enough to pay everyone? Only time will tell. In any case I just wonder what value does it generate for people in here to assume the worst in here and tell everyone they aren't going to get paid, especially if you have no funds in BOS???

Been wondering the exact same thing but feel it's best not to say too much as I understand the frustration...lots of people are assuming the worst, I hope they're wrong...I hope everyone gets paid, obviously.

Probably because if they don't assume the worst then they will spend everyday pissed and wondering if they might get paid. Instead they write it off as a loss, and move on for the football season....except ACE IN THE HOLE....he will drive himself mad.

I felt the same way until Friday, when they all closed down phone lines and everything. Prior to that, for the last month, even when this all went down, they had phone service up and the lines of communication were still open. They weren't acting like prior stiff job books that just "disappeared" with the money. That all changed Friday. Now they are acting exactly like other stiff books of the past. No open communication lines with their customers, and they are flat out lying by making it seem like the TRO is causing their actions and tying their hands. The TRO is totally meaningless in this.

The gaming company cautioned that the payment of staff, creditors and US customers would take time and "their successful completion will depend upon the Company's ability to persuade banks and cash processors to release its funds. It also will depend on the Company's ability to realise further and sufficient funds from its assets and operations outside Costa Rica and Antigua and to earn sufficient profits from operations which are not US facing."

The way I interpret this BoS statement is that they are saying themselves currently do not have the cash on hand, and the only way they can get that cash to pay out their current liabilities including player's accounts is to find more cash:- "realise further and sufficient funds from its assets and operations outside of Costa Rica and Antigua and to earn sufficient profits from operations which are not US facing."

They can't look at another public offering of stock, so they can only raise more cash from new player's accounts world wide outside of USA.

The risk for BoS continuing their opertions is that they probably are vulerable to potential lawsuits from their stock investors. The lack of creditibility will hamper their ability to raise more funds from new player accounts. The Ponzi scheme looks like their only option BoS has.
