I kid you not, it's 50/50 between them. Normally, take the laptop with me where ever we/I go, along with the seasonal sport(s) disk and the one(s) for the hoss track being played. Belated, congrats on the Cincy parlay/teaser. :toast:

PC desktop is much more efficient........but love my laptop on the go and when out.

DESKTOP allows me to work faster and more confortably.

Bingo! A laptop is nice when on the road, but I'd NEVER use one as my primary machine.

to each its own

a laptop was my primary machine for 5 years (I went through 4 of those)

of course if you use them heavily you will need to replace them constantly

specifically for storage capacity.........I use a desktop as a primary machine for work .......but it comes very handy when you go to the w/c and need to read an interesting article in therx :lolBIG:

both, and am contacting Dell right now about the recalled battery. Hope they are discounting the extra adapter they want everyone to use now, all the time, due to their inflammable battery that we are supposed to remove. Other lapton brands will likely soon have the batt recall as well, it was made by sony

My laptop shoud arrive tomorrow. My PC got very upset when she found out. I bought her a 19" flat screen monitor from Sony and a wireless key board and mouse.

You know how they get.

Just breaking in a Dell laptop.

It works just like a desktop provided you get a USB keyboard and mouse.

Plus of course, you can pack it and go.

I have both. Use the desktop mainly but like the laptop to surf wireless around the house. Mainly when I'm downstairs watching sports on HD

I only use my laptop. Hook up a mouse and a couple of dell 2001fps and you have all you need. And when you don't that kind of speed it's nice to be able to work outside or in front of the tv.

A laptop is just as good as a desktop now-a-days, if not better. Adaptors are widely available that will give you all the options you need. It's a mobile desktop, what else would you want!

I don't understand people when they say a laptop doesn't work
as efficiently as a desktop?? My laptop works great, what could
I do with a desktop that I can't with a laptop?

Also how does a desktop work more efficiently?

You can have more space to work in.

Laptops are annoying as hell, plus ergonomically HORRIBLE on your body.

PC for me. I love it.

For sportsbetting: Unless they're talking about multi monitor setups then they're talking out of their arse. Some laptops can have multi monitor setups anyway.

In general: some people just require higher spec computers, eg alot of hard drive space for databases etc, or high end graphic etc.

of course if you use them heavily you will need to replace them constantly

I've had mine for two years and it's running fine despite extremely heavy use.

Plug in an external monitor (20 inch dell) plus an ergonomic keyboard and mouse and it is no different than a desktop.
