I am doing my normal 40.5 mile road ride on mondays with this group of about 13 guys and gals, we have been doing this for about 4 months....at the beginning of the ride We where talking about how some of the rodies had Ultra thin tires...Mine are a bit wider but still fast....anyway about 3/4 of the way back we are in a line drafting I am 5th in the line of 13

I happen to look up Just in time to see the front rider hit some kind of small rock...He does a 360 header Bounces off his back onto his side and :icon_conf lands on his fucken head...I thought he was DEAD....the second guy crashes and I manage by the grace of god to move to the right and out of the way only slightly stopping hard...

ambulance came and all that ..we where going about 22 miles and hr...

the most UNREAL shit I have every seen:smoker2: looked like a movie...The guy was not moving to good but was talking... small tiny tires SUCK as I was telling them earlier

:smoking:

BEAUTIFUL man, just beautiful

I just drove through most of it , 2 weeks ago

I am considering buying land there just as an investment (I am sure the winters are brutal)

I drove from Vegas all the way up to Lewiston

You are a lucky man (except for winters and even then I am sure you guys adapt to it )

I'm a triathlete, and have been in those kind of packs before. When you know who you're riding with, crashes like that are pretty rare....but they do happen. It's the risk you take for saving 30 percent of your energy by drafting. Hope everyone is OK and no one bent up a bike too badly.
