In a 1986 <IF>TSN poll of its 26 correspondents, Froemming was voted the best all-around umpire in the NL and also the umpire with the quickest thumb. On September 2, 1972, the Cubs ' Milt Pappas was one pitch away from a perfect game. The 3-2 pitch to the Padres' 27th batter was called a ball by Froemming. Pappas pitched his no-hitter, but sulked for years that the call cost him a perfect game. Froemming simply explained that he had to call it a ball or he would have no integrity.
Angel Hernandez is the worst umpire ever (next to Don Denkinger-bastard). Hernandez makes me sick...if you ever watch a game he is doing...you will see someone argue with him at some point in the game...he blows atleast one call per game almost on a nightly basis.
Froeming can barely get out of the way of a ball hit at him...hilarious to watch him waddle his fat ass around the field...how can he still be an ump!

Just saw ANGEL on TV call a ball about 3 inches off the ground a strike and then proceed to toss out the manager seconds later in the Twins-O's game...Tino Martinez took a few jabs at him on the air....He's by far the worst ump in the game and every player and former player will tell you thatviking611 said:
