On local TV here, they said that Hinske carried a $5 million contract and that could be the hold-up. Maybe Boston wants Toronto to eat a little bit of the salary.
Yes Hinske is suppose to make 5.6 million next year in the final year of his contact. Even if the Jays eat half of that next year it will be a boost to the Jays.
