Mil (-.5) -107 (Hirsh v. Sheets)
The Brewers offense is scoring at a steady clip lately (5 runs per game over their last 8) and Houston is, well, Houston (2.2 runs per game over the last 5 - which includes a 6 run explosion over Mateo of the Cubs.)
The matchup today is Hirsh vs. Sheets. Despite a misstep in his last game (5 runs over 7 innings vs. the Braves) since comning off the DL Sheets has been dominant, giving up 1,2,1 ER his previous 3 games, striking out a lot of batters, while exhibiting his usual pinpoint control (3BB over his last 4 Gm.) Hirsh on the other hand got rocked by the usually impotent Pads in his only ML start (WHIP over 2, and giving up 3 HR over 4 IP). Uggh.
Bottom line: Milwuakee should get to Hirsh and Houston will be luckily to scratch out a few hits off of Sheets. Milwuakee has a shitty pen, but this 1rst Half bet is a good hedge against that.
