PokerTracker is what I use. It is invaluable. It will help you improve your game tremendously. It is very cheap as well, I think the first 1000 hands are free, then like 50 bucks to purchase it after that. Check it out at pokertracker dot com.

It logs every hand that you've been dealt, and every hand that you've seen of your opponents. You can have the program "auto-rate" the other players by your standards....you can replay hands to see how you could have played them better, It breaks down all your stats by starting hand, by position, by session, etc. Keeps track of how much you've won/lost, how much you've paid in rake. How often you enter a pot, how often you raise, etc. There is also a feature called Gametime window where you can have it running while you are currently playing a game, and it will give you up to the minute stats on the players you are playing against, as far as how mny pots they enter, how often they raise, etc. Very usefull.

yes, poker tracker is good.

If you play cash games at Ultimate Bet, you can set up Pokertracker to track games you aren't even playing in. Meaning, you can open 8 $1/2 NL tables, set poker tracker to them and record info on every player that comes to that table for however long. I let it run all day and night sometimes.

It sounds great. I'm wondering if it's possible to transfer data from one's poker tracker data on other players onto your own. I don't really want to spend the time opening the tables, letting my comp run, etc. Does anyone know if this option is available. IT would be great to start out with a ton of data on other players.
