My losing nights are starting to come more frequent lately, that is not a good sign. I have not had an extended losing streak since the allstar break....that means one is due. I hope I am wrong, but I have been gambling long enough to know it is a game of streaks. Just wanted to warn those who follow my picks.
dodgers +109 vs san fran (3 units)................God the dodgers suck!! They really cost me the other day when florida blew them out. (Just kidding) They have won so many for me that I am not going to get upset over one loss. Hard to believe they are dogs. It is not like they have turned cold all of a sudden. We got Penny pitching tonight and I am just not a believer that the giants are that great of a team. If you look at the wild card race, most of the teams have losing records, what does that tell you? I cannot pass up the dodgers as a dog the way they have played.
cincinnati -121 vs pittsburgh (3 units)............Ok, I know Snell has pitched decent ball lately and the bucos have played pretty good as well, but give me a break. The bucs still suck on the road. When I first saw this line, I thought the game must be at pittsburgh. I just think there is great value getting a reds team in the hunt for not only the wild card, but the division title at home and laying this small number. I will take it.
I really like both of my three unit plays tonight. I almost bumped up the units, but that is the kiss of death every time I do that.
mets -138 vs colorado (2 units).........Alot of people down on the mets all of a sudden. I think I even read one post where somebody thought fading the mets the rest of the way was a good idea. I guess the thinking is with everythig wrapped up they have nothing to play for. When you have that much talent as they do, it is their nature to go out and want to win every game possible. I can't imagine those players, especially pitchers going out there thinking it is no big deal if we lose. Trachsel (11-5, 4.84), as you can see has a pretty good record. Another steal as far as I am concerned with this line being so low at Shea.
minnesota +103 vs white sox (2 units)..............Another line that I think is out of whack. Minnesota has a great home record and does not deserve to be a home dog tonight. The sox have fallen further back in trying to catch detroit and they are not red hot or anything like that right now either. I have just got to try the home dog in this one.
detroit -106 vs texas (1 unit).............Why not? Another great home team as a small favorite. I have always been a millwood fan, so I would not be shocked to see him pitch a great game and win at detroit, but I just cannot pass up these lines tonight.
angels -141 vs seattle (1 unit).............This line to as bad as some of the others, but getting Weaver (8-0, 2.14) at home and not being a 200 favorite right now seems pretty reasonable to me. Seattle has been ice cold as well, so this one looks pretty solid.
I am either going to have a great night, or a horrible night, I can feel it. I cannot remember a night when so many lines seemed wrong to me. I can see a 5-1 night I hope, or I am completely off base here and I go 1-5. What do you guys think?

I am more than likely going to take a pass for the whole day Saturday. I normally work a half day, but I am working all day and they have somewhere to go after work. I guess there is a small chance I will be back for the night games, but I doubt it.
I will tell you what, there is one game that I want Saturday night and I will post it now.
Phillies -? vs Washington (3 units)..............Cole Hamels is pitching tomorrow night and I really think he is coming into his own. He now has the confidence in some of his pitches he lacked early in the year. In addition to that the phils are right in the middle of a wild card race and they are finally starting to play better ball at home.
If the phils are a favorite of 180 or higher, I am going to play the runline in this one. I have not seen a line out yet, and I suspect it could be that high.
