I have simply been on the worst run of my entire life...what ever team i select simply does not show up...A's score one very early and than zilch vs a pitcher with an ERA of 6.39.

A's been on fire and I end that streak too.

Kansas City is playing pretty good baseball since finding roles for everyone in their bullpen.

The only reason Hudson's ERA was so high is because his last start he was tagged for 10 earned runs in 1/3 of an inning. Those type of stats are very misleading and why numbers don't always tell the whole story.

i realize Hudson's ERA was inflated but the A's have DOMINTAED KC and had won 12 of 13 games..Shit what can i say I am losing at an alarming rate anymore....I have ended more streaks this season , just can't end my own losing streak.

Also Blanton was 3-0 with a 1.33 ERA vs KC I guess that was just another meaningless stat, lol

I guess each person has their own stats that they value. I have never been a person that puts any value on what an individual has done in his career against a team since the teams rarely look the same each season.

I am sure there are a lot of teams that have dominated my Clippers for 10-20 years...but that isn't the same team they face when they come to the Staples Center now. I know it is a baseball/basketball reference, but just making an example of why historical team matchups don't mean much to me. In this day and age with free agency, no teams stay the same for more than a season or two. The matchups are much different each year.

Blanton has been pitching well of late but still had a 5.23 ERA on the road this season. But, he isn't the reason they lost obviously. He still pitched well and if that is why you made the play, he definitely didn't let you down.

KC is a much different team at home than they are on the road (very similar to TB). They are hitting .290 at home and I believe around .250 on the road.

Hudson was also 3-0 with a 3.70 ERA at home this season.

Again, different stats are valued differently by each individual handicapper. I was just pointing out there were a lot of stats pointing towards KC in this one also. Was not trying to pile on your loss.

Good luck man...I hope you get it turned around. :toast:

Well...Frank Thomas definitely made up for it. 1-1 game with 2 outs, runner on 1st, and a 1-2 count...didn't look like they had any chance to score and Thomas goes yard.
