The Sox just don't have the man power to that the Yanks do. The injuries to the pitching, Veriteck, and Trot are catching up.

Albeit the Yanks pitching isn't that great, they just have enough servicable arms to get by. And the Yanks line-up, at this point, is too potent.

Johnny Damon finally earning his keep in Ny.....Too bad he's heating up against the Sox

The Abreau trade really helped the Yanks, but losing Varitek was a killer for the Red Sox. The Boston staff will probably give up an extra run per game without him. Varitek really knew how to get the most from their staff. IMO, he's more valuable to them than Ramirez or Ortiz. He was the worst guy they could've lost to an injury.
