Well I got my first bash as part of the RX team under my belt, and all I can say is – WOW. It was a great time and we clearly have the best members of any community on the net. This was the first time I have met most of you, and it was really a pleasure.

As soon as we started on Friday night with the SexyWagers.com blackjack tourney, I new this was going to be a blast. They had their girls helping ‘cheer’ the guys on, and everybody that was walking by wanted to stop and join the fun. After SCnit won the big tournament everybody was talking about how lucky he was, but if you look at the picture in Xpanda’s post, they may think differently now!

Saturday morning the poker tourney went off without a hitch and we had a full field. As with everything else, the Green Doberman and his staff at the IP did a great job running the thing and everybody had a great time.

The blackjack hands started off with a bang as Elvis first sang Viva Las Vegas for the crowd before dealing the hands. We started off hot as the first 4 or 5 $500 hand all cashed in, as did most of the $1000 hands. But, unfortunately, we failed to cash in for the $5000, $10,000 and $25,000 winners. That means we are due for the big winner to cash next year.

When it was time for the party, I was shocked when we opened the door and the line was all the way down the hall and almost into the sportsbook! Once we got everybody registered, 90% hit the open bar, and it stayed busy all night. The IP did a great job on the buffet and watching some of these guys maneuver back to their seats with piles of food was impressive. They definitely did some damage! The DJ was great and even got people dancing by the end of the night. We gave out 15 cash prizes in the drawing, and I know a couple of those winners needed them money to help them get home today! For some of these guys, I don’t know if they like the money or getting to take their pictures with the SexyWagers.com girls better! At the end of the night the Sexy girls were signing their movies and giving out a bunch of swag. I saw some guys leaving with some questionable items in their bags, but hey, it’s Vegas, right?

So time for some thanks – first off we should all give the Green Doberman a big thank you! He was all over the place all weekend and made sure everything went off without a hitch. This guy is something else, and every time I turned around to ask for something he was either right there to take care of it, or most likely was already on top of it. GD is aces in my book all the way.

Next, the RX staff that worked so hard to pull this thing off. Wil, Xpanda, Tracy, Edgar and all of the Mods did an amazing job and put in a ton of work. This was my first time really interacting face-to-face with our team, and I could not have been more impressed. I can’t imagine having a more dedicated and passionate group of people, and I thank each one of you for all of your hard work. The team dinner we had was great, and watching Fish try and give away his room key was classic!!! (it ended up on the floor, BTW)

And last, but definitely not least, I want to thank all of our posters that made the trip out and help this bash to be by far the best ever. My wife and I had a great time hanging out with everybody and I just can’t get over what a great community we have built here. Just like any group, we have people from all walks of life, which is why the party was so great. And even though Teazeman’s first words to me were ‘f-off’ and Coach LT was a ‘little’ friendly with my wife (but not quite as friendly as Mrs. NBA) I thoroughly enjoyed everybody I spent time with.

I can’t wait until next year (Coop - don’t forget your clubs!)
Rick

P.S. A special thanks to all of the sponsors as well:

Oh crap, I almost forgot!

This guy had to be blitzed out of his mind. He had to call the pit manager over twice in 10 minutes. The first thing he did was think a guys was doubling down (I think with 2 4s) instead of splitting. That one wasn’t too bad because the manager gave everybody back their losing bets. But then he pulls a 5 card 20, but thinks he has 21 and starts taking everybody’s bets. But Joey and I had 20 so I tell him that he has 20, and he starts to argue with me, so I tell count your freakin cards. Well he has already taken money, so he tries to figure out how much everybody had out, relying on the drunk guy sitting next to me. Joey is the last one he gets to and he tells him “if those guys had that much out, then you must have had this much out’ and ends up screwing him out of a chunk of his bet.

And before I even bought in, Joey surrendered and the guy thought he was buying insurance. So later Joey tried to surrender again and the dealer asked him what that meant and then that they don’t do surrender. It was classic!

But the real highlight was when the drunk guy next to me told me that Elvis picked his mom out an audience one night and took her back stage! I may have sitting next to Elvis’ love child!

He was possibly the stupidest human being I have met.

Ask skins, he kept betting $100, losing, getting off his chair, walking to the atm, taking out another $100, come back, bet that $100, lose, go back to the atm etc.....

What a tit.
