I need some help please. Ok, this may be a dumb question but here goes...In the game matchup under bullpens, I thought that IP is innings pitched, and last 3 would be last 3 games or days I'm assuming. So why is the number always so large. For example it's always around 15-20 but for washington the matchup today it's 43??? that can't be innings pitched by the bullpen in the last 3 games. So what does that number represent?

thanks in advance.

That number represents the total innings pitched for EVERY pitcher that is listed as a bullpen pitcher for each of their 3 last games that they were involved in a game, (including in a starting role) ... not the past 3 games for the team alone. For example ... Washington's number is high because it includes Bergmann ... who started two of his last 3 games ... and totaled 14 innings alone in his past three games. So, in other words ... teams that still show a pitcher or two as being a bullpen pitcher, but started them recently will have higher numbers.
I agree ... those numbers are very misleading.
