2-4 (-0.36 units) yesterday
118-97 (+29.66 units) overall

I thought I was going to have a great day yesterday winning both three unit plays, but it turned out that they were my only winners last night. I guess I should not complain though losing less than one unit and going 2-4. I guess those are the kind of 2-4 night you like to have if you are going to have them.

Cincinnati -120 vs. Houston (3 units)……………Those goofy reds just keep finding ways to win. I say goofy because my Phillies are trailing them in the wildcard chase. I love to go with pitcher who have switched leagues in the middle of the season. I think that is just a natural thing in their favor not being seen before. That would be the case with reds pitcher Lohse. He does not have a win yet for the reds, but he has pitched some pretty good ball. I say the reds bats get behind him tonight and get him his first win. The astros just do not scare me on the road. I love the line being this low as well. This one looks real solid to me tonight.

Phillies -134 vs. Cubs (3 units)………….This one reminds me very much of the above game with the only difference the phils playing on the road instead of home. The phillies have been trying to acquire Moyer for the past couple of seasons and they finally got him. He is going to love pitching behind those phillie bats. I think the change of scenery is going to make a new man out of him. Not sure what the weather is like in Chicago, but when we get a game with the wind blowing out…look out. Ryan Howard is due for a monster game. I love my top two plays tonight.

San Diego -153 vs. Dodgers (2 units)………….I am doing something that I have not done in a long, long time and that is go against the dodgers. I have always been a Jake Peavy fan and he is starting to turn his season around. The right-hander, fourth in the NL with 162 strikeouts, has pitched well in his career against the Dodgers. He's 5-1 with a 2.29 ERA in 11 starts against them, including a win on July 26. San Diego (63-62) maintained its dominance this season over Los Angeles (66-59) with a 4-2 victory on Monday. The Padres have won nine of the last 10 meetings. Baseball is a game of streaks and the dodgers are due to drop a couple while the pads have not been not for a while it seems, I think it is their turn to get hot, just a feeling I have. I hope I am right. It is scary going against these dodgers.

Arizona -104 vs. San Fran (2 units)……………Simply a play of Mr Webb of the diamondbacks. He is having a great year and I still thinks the giants are not that good of a team. Most of the teams still in the wildcard race on not great teams this year. They are just still in in because of the poor play of everybody else. I cannot pass up Webb at this price even on the road.

Atlanta -156 vs. Pittsburgh (1 unit)……………First thing that I have to do is admit what a retard I am for taking the pirates as a road team last night. What was I thinking??? That is all that I have to say about picking the braves and my reasoning for tonight.

Milwaukee -143 vs. Colorado (1 unit)………….Colorado seems to be fading a little bit in the wildcard chase. They are now tied with the brewers. Capuano (10-8, 3.68) , for the brewers leads the lead in quality starts as a pitcher. Brewers have a very good home record while the brewers road record is just about the opposite of Milwaukee’s. I am counting on another good start from the brewer pitcher tonight.

There you have it, six more plays for tonight. I should do better than the 2-4 I did last night, at least I hope so.

Good Luck Everybody!!
