Ok, I need some insight from a few who follow the Yankees for tonight's game. They have this rookie, Jeff Karstens, heading to the mound for his first-time ever. Any information on him would be greatly appreciated. As it stands right now, I'm looking at wagering to win $300-$500 on the game. Thank you.

Here are his stats this year. Did great at AA, however, AAA is a different story. Again, facing an M's team that has lost 11 straight. Maybe a play on the over?

re: passingthewind

My wager has these pitchers listed:

J. KARSTENS must start / C. BAEK must start

if they they are not as listed (above), I will not be playing the ML.

Yup thats them, I assume it will be the normal starting yankee line up or are they resting anyone. I would be surprised since Posada, Damon and Giambi rested the last one. I just cannot see Seattle being able to put up more runs than the Yankees, I dont think it comes down to pitching tonight, but WTF do I no.

"Hargrove will turn to a pitcher who hasn't appeared in the major leagues in two seasons to try and make that happen. The Mariners recalled Cha Seung Baek from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, and the right-hander will make the start in the series opener against New York. Baek is 2-4 with a 5.52 ERA in seven career games, including five starts, all in 2004. "

If this guy can shut down the yankees starting line-up then I am a sucker.
