There is no bill on the list of active legislation at senate.gov
This tells me there is almost no chance that it sees the light of day.
A few bible thumpers will keep talking about it to get some more votes, but the senate has done the responsible thing and squashed it.
They tried to fast track it and some senators objected. The banking committee (Full of lots of money and lobbyists) stated their objections.
The DOJ has stated numerous times (I posted a briefing a few days ago) that it is not the intention of the federal government to pursue individual gamblers.
Bush has said the WTO is very important and the US needs to work with the WTO on various issues - kind of hard to say that then sign this bill.
The easiest thing and most useful thing for everyone is to let it die....
It seems it will not make it to any type of vote - too much resistance!!
