MLB 'Guess the Line' Challenge for 8/26.

the object of the game is simple. I will list 5 games (w/ listed starters) and you guys try to guess what the line is going to be...not what it SHOULD be neccessarily. The person who is the closest to the Vegas lines wins. Points are given for every cent you are off on the moneyline and the winner is the person with the least amount of points.

if there is a pitching change on any of these games, that game will be voided from this contest.

this contest is also a great tool for baseball betting because you should all be doing this anyways :103631605

i'm suprised 3 people even participated in this...it seems most of the forum thinks everyone wants to see their 'bow wow wow crazy parlay of the day' when we could all discuss the lines and WHY certain lines look 'too good to be true' and not fall into traps set by the linesmakers.

thanks to the THREE people that already did this!!! I want to see more though...lets have some fun with this, and who knows you may become a better handicapper by doing this because you can see what a linesmaker has to go through trying to make the best possible line for this.

when these lines come out, it may be beneficial to figure out why they were set at their opening price.

as weird as this may sound you might get more responses in the offshore room

you have some sharp cappers their..
ask a mod if you can move it over their by clicking the triangle icon on the lower left hand side

many different posters post in that room and very rarely do you see them post in the baseball forum

I agree!!! dont you think this is more beneficial then the average post? I mean...we should ALL be doing this to have some kind of perspective of the lines before they come out and try to understand why they open at the price that they do.
