I've been a Northcoast client for 10 years on and off (mainly just get his newsletter to aid in handicapping). It was because of him I signed up with Millenium Sports 6 years ago.

They promoted this book every year....until now. When I called several times to tell them my football bankroll is now lost because of their referral, they offered nothing. No free newsletters, pick or anything.

I'b be willing to bet that at least 75% of Northcoasts customers had accounts at Millenium being that was basically the only book Steele endorsed for the better part of 6 years. I also noticed Marc Lawrence & Preferred Picks endorsed Millenium as well......both also based out of Cleveland...hmm...

Now today comes & I get a ton of Northcoast stuff for the upcoming season with tons of flyers on BetMania.com..............the OFFICIAL BOOK OF NORTHCOAST SPORTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a joke. Just like that these bastards jump on board a new ship and offer nothing in the way of a letter, Bonus Play, or anything to all their customers who got screwed because of their endorsement!

I dumped Northcoast after 12 years because he is slimey. They advertise all of their winning years and don't mention their losing years. The underdog play was the only play that was consistant. He has so many types of plays that one or two are bound to be winners.

Now I am looking for a newsletter for info. and less slime.

What else would you expect from a tout? You really thought he would do the honorable thing? :missingte

I agree Ace-Ace ... they always pimped betmill and how they'd "hold the line" for their preseason and regular season picks at the number Phil gave out on the call. I get Powersweep which always brought with it some preaseason picks and a Sept 5* and I signed up with betmill years ago from NC. He's always talking about his integrity but I don't see it. Then again I've clicked on banners at forums to join bookies that went out of business and those forums did not exactly seem to care either.

It's a business, there is no such thing as a totally honorable tout. I know a few guys personally around here that tout, very honorable compared to the industry, but still I'm sure people would find some practices not completely kosher. Its just the business they are in, they sell information to some strange and eccentric folks and have to be careful because of it. They will only go so far for clients because its all about business.

I think it is about the best $125 you can spend duing football. I love his information, not his picks, but his information. He offers a great write up on damn near every game.

It's only $79 when you sign up the particular week specified, usually in October, for the next year, i.e. 2007. An additional $10 if you want the logs.

Marc Lawrence's playbook is in the same position of advertising/recommending Millenium sportsbook.

There's your textbook tout stunt so that everyone has something to brag about.

Typical BS

You guys bashing Phil Steele for being a SALESMAN are hilarious. :puppy: Dude if he was the slimiest of slime and still won would it matter?

He is very smart in the way that he markets but Ive never seen him flat out lie about a record. What kind of marketing sense does it make to tell people that you you went 30 percent on 3 star plays in a year. Id rather tell them how my 5 stars were 5-1.

This is no different from a restaurant not tellling you in their newspaper ad how their last health inspection only scored 69. They'd rather tell you how the top two food critics in town gave them 4.5 out of 5 stars last month.

If a person has an 8 inch pecker but a 2 minute action span, which do you think he promotes at the bar?

I cant believe someone would put more importance on the fact that he didnt tell you about all the losers over the actual information presented.
So your saying that you would keep your subscripton if he harkened over the horrible month he's having. As SLJ might say " Give me a motherfuckin
break" :nohead:

Regarding his relationship with Mill and Betmania:
How was he to know that the BS with BOS was going to go down?
Many people have probably collect referrals from their friends joining the BOS family over the years. Are these people supposed to go back and offer their friends free dinners because of what happened?

If someone I trust refers someone else to me that means I will strongly consider that business, pending my own investigation of course.
Anyone who sends or spends money for anything based on a referral or endorsement only is being lazy and has no one to blame but himself if shit goes down.

To the OP's, I really dont mean anything personal to you guys because Im sure alot of people may feel the same way.
I've had a few brews and am just venting about the " lets blame someone else" attitude in general.:nopityA:

Hope you all have a good year!!!!!!!!!1

I always question when a tout service has an affilliation with an off shore sports book...strange bedfellows at best ie. conflict of interest. Why would the book want to take action from a "successful" tout's customer? Do the math!!

Simple. For the most part the players not only play the Tout Plays, they play a lot of thier own stuff. So the tout could go 3-1 on a sunday, but the players still lose, cause of THIER OWN LOCKS.
