Scalp a game against Mansion or Pinny. I can't beat them. Anyone have this problem?

Screwing around all summer long trying to learn how to scalp (still undecided) but no matter what happens I can't beat these 2 books.

I took the approach I would only bet the scalpable side and not scalp back during hoops at these 2 books (esp Pinny) and rolled. Did the same thing for bases, earlier in the year and got beat. Now I decide to strictly scalp and bam i have reloaded at Mansion 10 times (estimate) with zero w/d's, EVER. Pinny is almost as bad.

Does anyone ever beat Pinny? Why can't these places offer reload bonuses:lolBIG: . If anyone wants to win, bet with these books at other shops and watch the money roll in.

Still up in the air for football on what approach to do, but would love to try and see this whole scalp thing thru for a few months and see what results I can pull, but it is work.

I am going to bed, confused:monsters-

Pinnacle are who they are because they're really good at drawing you toward what look to be highly advantagous plays (over 9.5 +114 in MLB, for example). I've been scalping for some time now and keep pretty good records. Historically, if get about a 49.6% return from pin (51.8% from all others). What looks like a good line from pin is, in fact, not - they're just very good at getting ahead and drawing you into a bad play (that looks damn good when you make it). Doesn't bother me - playing scalps, I get my payoff anyway. Just don't like to see money going in one direction all the time.

When you find a great line on a game at Pinnacle go the other way or pick another game. They are drawing your attention for a reason. They have very strong opinions on some of there games.

One thing I may start doing is staying a little more heavy on the square side than Pinny. Maybe double the scalp profit on square book and breakeven at Pinny when it wins.

Trying to take the gamble out of this and make it as close to as sure, steady thing as possibile.

This is a good start, but eventually you need to take it one step further and even quadruple what you would have won on the true scalp and risk losing money if the pinnacle side wins. Over time, you will win much more this way.

I have gone that route and this baseball season set me back a little. Like I said earlier maybe its just a baseball thing.

By over time, I mean over a LONG time, say couple year period or so. But stick to with what you are comfortable with as you keep figuring it out. The idea of making all the scalp profit and winning nothing if pinnacle wins is good way to go for now until you realize the same thing I now do.

which is? If you don't mind me asking. I bet one sided at square book and NEVER bought back at Pinny. Basically bet "scalpable" lines at other book, scalpable with Pinny and crushed hoops this past spring. Is that what you are doing and if so have you had any success with this during bases because I haven't and I am talking about ALOT of plays (well over 1,000) and have had some GREAT numbers. Thanks

You got it boss. Seemed to work best in hoops, but all sports for the most part. Rare sports, it works really well. That is what I used to do and still do from time to time, but generally have graduated past the looking for scalp stage so don't use this valuable weapon as much as I should be. Now, just basically use my own judgement and then when looking for the best line, if pinnacle likes it also I play it larger than I was going to and if they like the other side, I back off some.

Harrington,
I'm not saying your wrong but I think they are traders and understand the influence they have on the markets at the moment, if they had opinions their prices wouldnt be so active. They're not so gallant when betting Soccer, where their influence means nothing, best o luck for the NFL :103631605

I stink at scalping (don't really have the patience)...with my limited experience, I found pinny the toughest to beat...
