A few posters have wondered about this, but I can state there is absolutely no doubt about it.

I had called three days ago, to a BoS satellite book, where I have about a nickel. I'd changed my address since originally posting up at that book, some 4 years ago.

So the guy on the CS end of the phone said yes, BoS will definitely pay off all those with money in the account. And asked for the address. So I game him my new one.

Today,I got an ad for BestLineSports. 30 % bonus, -108, all that. No question my address was sold to them by BoS. (BestLine is rated B- by SBR, but is in Panama - remember BetPanAM - think I'll pass.)

I'm wondering if BoS is holding thier phones open to collect addresses. The cs guy told me he wasn't getting paid. Names and addresses like rhis could be very valuable to a book - they may pay $10 to around $30 apiece for them. (Or does BLS have some kind of BoS connection?)

In the pork slaughter house business they used to say, "We use everything but the squeal." I gotta wonder if the BoS operation is squeezing the squeal out of their customers, as a final act.

See the story below, but strong rumors have it that some senior people from BOS are now working at Bestlinesports, and took quite of bit of hardware with them.

BetonSports tied to mob-linked website
Financial Times

Updated: 10:10 p.m. PT Aug 4, 2006
BetonSports, the publicly listed UK internet gambling business, has been linked by US prosecutors to a website that employed associates of New York's Gambino crime family to collect debts.

The website, Bestlinesports.com, used a father and son team in Broward County, Florida, connected to the crime syndicate once run by notorious mob boss John Gotti to gather wagers on sports events and deliver them to Costa Rica, where the website was based at the time, prosecutors in Florida said.

Joseph "Boca Joe" Fafone and Joseph Jr Fafone were convicted on illegal gambling charges over their work for Bestlinesports.com. Prosecutors described the Fafones as associates of Frank "The Bear" Basto, a Gambino crime family member.

Bestlinesports.com was one of a number of websites "belonging to or controlled by" BetonSports and affiliated people and companies, according to the indictment against BetonSports filed by the US attorney's office in Missouri.

The indictment charged BetonSports, Gary Kaplan, its founder, and David Carruthers, its British former chief executive, with racketeering, fraud and other charges.

Bestlinesports.com is also one of the websites placed under a Federal Court restraining order that has barred BetonSports from operating in the US since last month. A spokesman for BetonSports said the company had "a relationship a few years ago [with Bestline Sports], which was a basic landlord-tenant relationship". He was unsure whether the relationship continued.

The Department of Justice has characterised the BetonSports case as part of a continuing effort to clamp down on illegal internet gambling. "This has been a priority for some time," a spokesman said. "This indictment is just one in a series."

The Gambino family link to Bestline Sports was revealed in an investigation by the Broward County sheriff's office, codenamed "Operation Goodfellas", between 2000 and 2002.

The Fafones were prosecuted after helping an undercover detective place bets through Bestline Sports by phone and on the internet, and then collecting debts owed to the website and delivering winnings. The father and son were described as agents for the website in the affidavit for the case. The conviction of the Fafones took place while Mr Carruthers was working for BetonSports.

The prospectus for BetonSports' initial public offering in 2004 states that "David Carruthers joined BetonSports in June 2000 as chief executive officer and managing director of its UK subsidiaries".

This is the second alleged connection to emerge between BetonSports and US mob figures. Last weekend it emerged that another online betting company linked to a separate New York Mafia family, Safe Deposit Sports, had rented office space from BetonSports at its headquarters in San José, Costa Rica. BetonSports denies it has any link to the company apart from once renting offices to it.

In an interview in 2003 with La Nacion, a Costa Rican news-paper, Mr Carruthers denied BetonSports had any involvement with Bestline Sports beyond a subleasing relationship.

Could be, but I got my first piece of sportsbook junk just today, a few days after I gave new address to the BoS satellite book. It was off a presorted permit (ie junkmail) from South Florida, from whence most of these originate.

If it is the employees stealing the names/adddresses, it means there is zero resonsible supervision. Im sorry now I gave out the address and email. Who needs this shit from these morons?

Thanx, Jay, for the heads up on BestLine and their connection to BoS. Hope nobody posted up with BestLine. Somethin' very rotten in the state of Denmark - or Panama.

ALL places sell/trade is more like it, names and numbers. A look outside the window.

Lets take a look at what I see. I see people who call here and there for this and that all over everywhere. More times than not they will leave there real names, numbers and email addresse because they really want XXX.

Over time it builds up all over the place and eventually you get passed around like whores. I am talking way outside of the books and into the related services catergory here. This indignation kills me becuae you do not understand just how many footprints you leave. Worse still you cant keep your story straight on just about anything. Thus entrapping you further as this puts markers on you and opens you up for a special brand of marketing.

Sell sometimes but its trade most times because EVERYONE HAS THE SAME NAME AND NUMBERS. Half the list are crap anyway. Its just cross marketing.

Way more interconnected than you are ever going to want to know about.

Trust me on this.

Trust me on this.

I know how mailing lists work, I used to buy them. But no one, no sportsbooks, no magazines, no commercial enterprise of any kind, like, no one, had the address I gave to the BoS book. The BestLine ad came from the info they got from BoS.

Trust me on this.

I can't find the thread on it, but a few weeks back I questioned the exact same thing.

unfortunately this went on to proof (once again.......) that being a public company/highly praise company/etc is no replacement for good leadership

Anyone that ever had to fax BoS a copy of their drivers license for some reason or other better be worried. Very worried. Your identity could be at risk.

BTW I am getting all kinds of recorded solicitations on my cell phone for things ranging from timeshare salesmen, to touts, to mortgage brokers, to other books. No doubt BoS sold that number, as it is fairly recent. :finger:

I found proof in a post from 2 years ago on MW tying BoS to BLS very strongly. Really unquestionalble if you ask me. They have been set up there for some time now and the thread I bumped mentions Marty Monroe heading the place. Is he still there?

GD, I found that post. Your suspicions were right.
