Is Adam Everett best defensive SS in NL?

Sucks at the plate but on the field, probably turns the best double plays in baseball. Fourty eight straight games without an error and .989 fielding percentage.

Pretty easy to have a great fielding percentage when you don't get to many balls.

I wouldn't even put him in the top 5.

He couldn't hold Omar Vizquel's jock in the field.

Everett's definitely in the top 3 defensively. And actually his fielding percentage is .993 through 2006. He's turned 91 DP vs. Vizquel's 75. Stronger arm than Vizquel's.

Looking through the NL shortstops, you are probably right that he is in the top 3. Still a far cry from Omar Vizquel.

I'd take Khalil Greene over Everett any day of the week.
