Owner couldn't squash his ego and now SD goes back to mediocracy...

He demanded Brees go.
There is no way anyone intelligent lets Brees go after the last two seasons he had..

They were 9-7...nothing special about this team last season.

To be fair, I was pissed when they let Brees go, but watching objectively, Rivers stinks. He is so slow to drop back from center, so indecisive in his reads, and he doesn't look down the field. We don't have burners for WR's to begin with and teams are going to clamp down on all of this dinking and dunking he has been doing. His % might be high but I'd rather have a lower % and less horizontal throws. This team is good enough to get to the SB every other poistion on the field. It's a shame that Rivers will hold the Bolts back and he will.
Not an easy assignment either at Oak on Mon night for his 1st game. The Chargers need to beat Oak if they are going to get to 10 or 11 wins.
