The first question that popped into everyone’s heads when Owens signed in Dallas was: Can this guy co-exist with Coach Parcells, a guy with no sense of humor when it comes to prima donnas.

How does he do it?

In a season when a franchise quarterback comes back from ACL surgery and two of the most exciting college players in recent memory hit the league, a guy who hasn’t played in almost a year continues to hog headlines. You gotta love Terrell Owens.

The NFL loves a bad boy and so do the folks at BetJamaica.com, who posted a trio of T.O. prop bets. He hasn’t recorded a first down, but he has recorded his first fine in Dallas.

"The first question that popped into everyone’s heads when Owens signed in Dallas was: Can this guy co-exist with Coach Parcells, a guy with no sense of humor when it comes to prima donnas," said Andy Amato, head linesman at BetJamaica.com.

"They keep saying all the right things, but the $9,500 fine on the weekend hints at bigger trouble in Big D."

With that in mind, BetJamaica.com has posted odds on whether Owens will finish the season as a Dallas Cowboy.

Yes, he will still be wearing the star on his helmet = -105
No, he’ll be gone = -105

Will He Dominate?

What makes T.O. such an intriguing character and what ensures teams will continue to give him another chance, is the fact the guy can flat-out play. Few would argue that he is the best WR in the league when he’s healthy and playing with purpose.

Getting those two stars to align is the tricky part and it creates plenty of interest and banter - and wagering opportunities.

BetJamaica.com offers some tempting odds for those who believe the preseason injury and antics will end when the teams kick off for real in Week 1. Can he lead the league in receiving yards? If he does, will that translate into an MVP season?

Owens will lead the league in regular-season receiving yards = 15/1
Owens will win MVP honors for the 2006 season = 25/1

Will The Cowboys Excel?

Owner Jerry Jones took a gamble when he signed T.O., knowing that his team’s fortunes would be joined at the hip with Owens.

"If he runs his legs and not his mouth, the Cowboys are Super Bowl threats," said Amato. "If it’s the other way around, his presence can have a destructive effect, as we all saw last season in Philadelphia."

To date, oddsmakers have been keeping the prop betting steady on Dallas, with no spike up or down, even as Owens has remained on the preseason sidelines and made headlines for missing meetings.

Will the Dallas Cowboys win the Super Bowl = 12/1
Will the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC = 6/1
Will the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East = 2.5/1

Cowboys Wins Totals

A final BetJamaica.com prop bet that hinges on whether Owens succeeds or fails is the Dallas season prop for wins.

Oddsmakers at BetJamaica.com have set the over/under on Dallas wins at 9.5, meaning fans can wager whether the Cowboys will have nine or fewer wins or 10 or more wins.

In the tough NFC East, where six of their games are against playoff possibilities (New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins), topping 10 wins could be a tall order.

"Their chances at double-digit wins are greatly enhanced if T.O. is pulling with them and not against them," said Amato. "We expect heavier-than-usual action on this prop bet before the preseason is over."

I'd think the YES would be a strong play.

But it seems they may have changed the prop to:

"5055 Will T. Owens play all Reg Season for Dallas"

which is not clear whether it includes the possibility of injuries
and requires him to play every game.

I'd like to see an O/U wager on the number of times he's benched and/or fined for being an asshole.

And, man!, would I like to be a fly on the wall for some of the conversations Parcells must have about this idiot.

Yes / No -105 each? he will settle in and be a Cowboy, seems like excellent value...I would take that for the limit...just can't see him leaving early again this year.

What a weak set of props

No imagination at all and the one which is a little awkward they made a mess of.

What about:

Over/Under Receiving Yards
Over/Under TDs
Will he be suspended?
Will he score a TD in the post season?

Show some flair......
