Teasers

A teaser is a selection of two or more teams in one wager in which the point spread is adjusted in the player’s favor. The number of teams selected and the number of points selected determine the payout odds. Ties on a teaser with three or more teams will revert to a lower teaser. (For example a tie on a three teamer becomes a two team teaser.) With our two team teasers, you gain an additional betting edge because a tie always counts as a win for post-up customers. On a two team teaser, a 'tie' or 'no action' and a 'win' is considered a win. A ‘tie’ and a ‘tie’ constitute a win. A 'tie' or 'no action' and a 'loss' on a two team teaser is considered a loss. Restrictions apply to non-post up customers.

Teasers - Teaser wager payoffs depend on how many teams are selected and how many points are given to each team. Payoffs for football and basketball teasers are shown in the tables below. If there is a tie in one or more of your individual parts, then the wager steps down to the next lower number of teams. If a two-team teaser has a tie and a winner, then the teaser pushes, "No Action."
If a two-team teaser has a tie and a loser, the teaser loses. You may have your account set up for "Vegas" teaser rules (a tie and a loser = a TIE). By choosing this option, the account will not be eligible for bonuses of any kind. Only teasers played AFTER choosing this option will apply for the "Vegas" rules. Not all accounts will be eligible for this rule change.

NOTE: Ties on 2 team Teaser are a push. Meaning, a tie and win is a push and a tie and a loss is a push. Ties on 3-6 team Teasers revert to the payout on the next teaser. A 3 teamer at +180 odds is the equivalent of laying about -243 on each individual leg of the teaser and a 2 teamer at +100 is the equivalent of laying about -241 on each individual leg of the teaser, so while it's close, the 2 teamer at +100 is better.

I could be wrong on WSEX. I hate teasting regular games, but do. I can't bring myself to tease meaningless preseason games.

WSEX is -110 for 2 team 6 point teasers for NFL games or for 1 college and 1 nfl. If you tease 2 college games it is still +100. They are also shaving you if you tease more than 2 teams.

Thanks for the heads up with 5Dimes. I just had them enable my account for "vegas rules" with teasers, which is really the way all books should grade teasers. A tie and and a loss on a 2 teamer is a push. So what that I don't get bonuses from them, I never accept their bonuses anyway.

The other problem with 5dimes is they (used to?) have a different lineset for teasers, which was shaded against +EV oppertunities.

I think that's too much of a generalization, although they do use different numbers from their straight bets for some games.

I always shop the numbers at one or two books, including the ties win Skybook (which of course has no value if both legs are x.5 and costs -105).

Skybook moved to -110 this year too I believe

Skybook sucks this year. 3 and 4 team super teasers lose instead of reverting to the next lowest teaser when their is a tie.

i don't wanna hear from people who say "i win all the time with CFB teasers, wink - you don't know what you are talking about"

to those people i simply say: go back, check those teasers you played and see what would have happened if you DID NOT tease those games. you will quickly see most of those plays would have hit WITHOUT teasing so what you did was cost yourself 1.6 units EVERY TIME you were STUPID enough to do that teaser

all you need to know about CFB teasers is this:

IF the books offer it - who do you think benefits the most from it? do you think the hotels offer free alcohol because they are nice people? didn't think so?
