Scottsdale, AZ.

While on the campaign trail Senator Jon Kyl, R-AZ, commented on the recent popularity of Poker. "This plague has taken its last victim," Kyl remarked, "in a dog eat dog World we need to be tough, we need to face challenges head on and in a common sense manner. Outlawing playing cards is the easiest way I can see to stop people from gambling with cards."

The Playing Card Prohibition Act of 2006 has already garnered much support. "There will need to be exceptions," explained Rep. Bob Goodlatte R-VA, "New Jersey casinos are well equipped to deal with problem gamblers and can identify such people. In fact I am on my way to Nevada to explore what options are available for their gaming properties."

Bicycle, the Worlds largest manufacturer of playing cards commented, "Are you freaking kidding me?"

Buddyboy--This is not a true story is it? :icon_conf

Actually, hoping that it is so there will be even more concrete evidence that this KYL character should not only not be in office, but locked up someplace with a straightjacket.

Do you need to show your ID to see if you live in Arizona when you vote?
If not all the online gamblers should travel there on elections day and vote against Kyl! Sooner or later this shit is going to pass because of him

Kyl is going about it the wrong way - instead of outlawing playing cards he should try to outlaw chips, that way those bridge playing non gamblers will back him up......

Sorry Wil
My Mom is a Real senior citizen and plays bridge regularily with her friends. They don't need chips. They play for a penny a point and you would think it was $100 a point--for those folks. Good people that love their GAME!

what makes this so sad is that many of us would read this and actually think he MAY have said that and meant it.

If they did outlaw such things..... You could get rich "BOOTLEGGING" cards and chips...... You might go to prison for a very long time :puppy:
