Walmart pulls Cards & Dice From Shelves

Walmart the world’s largest retailer is pulling Playing Cards and Dice from its store shelves after being put on notice from the DOJ.
In a letter dated August 25<SUP>th</SUP>, 2006, the DOJ warned Walmart that the sale of gambling paraphernalia and equipment could be considered aiding and abetting a wagering enterprise. And unless they immediately comply by removing such material from their stores they could face formal charges.
In related news, Senator Jon Kyl, R-AZ, has recently proposed new legislation, The Playing Card Prohibition Act of 2006. And it has already garnered much support.
