I have been trying to sign up for the college gameplan for two days. I call and they don't seem to know what I am talking about. I told them I have had it for the past two years. I had trouble getting signed up last year also. They do not seem to know their own products. Has anyone else had difficulty with Adelphia? No wonder they are bankrupt.

Jaybird, Time Warner took over my Adelphia (might have taken the whole thing over, not sure) and after several calls I finally had to go to the local office. When I arrive there is another guy there telling them he gets it every year and they are telling him they are not sure what he is talking about. They keep telling him that all they are aware of is some baseball package and they can add it for him. After 45 minutes of the two of us talking them thorugh it they finally got Gameplan added. The calls to Time Warner were just as bad because they didnt even know what Adelphia offered but the Adelphia number was fowarded to them since the takeover. Needless to say I had to come right back home and take some blood pressure medicine.

TTinCO, I had Comcast in a small town that I grew up in and moved back for a while. They offered one package - 28 channels and one HBO - nothing more or less - $49.95/mth - take it or leave it. I had to go with a dish.

I just don't understand why they are so incompetent. I know more about their products than they do! You can't complain to anyone because the supervisors don't care either. It is extremely frustrating. I am calling again tomorrow and if I don't get signed up I am going to my local office on Thursday. I will remain there until something gets done!!!!

Mergers are always messy-especially ones as big as that. Mass confusion all around.

The same thing is going on with AT&T Wireless & Cingular--total ClusterF.

Yeah but I have had trouble with Adelphia before. I spoke with a friend of mine today and he said one year he had to forgo the ESPN gameplan altogether...he just couldn't get anyone to add it. Unbelievable!

Talk about not caring, I got a new plasma a few weeks ago and went to the office to swap my pvr box for an hdtv pvr box. Lady was helping me and said sure let me go to the back and grab you one. Man walks up beside me and another lady comes to help him. He said he needed an hdtv pvr. The other lady told him she was sorry but they had just ordered some this morining and it would be at least 2 weeks before they had any more. The lady helping me came back up right then and gave me my new hd pvr. I couldnt hold it in so I looked at the guy and said is this what you wanted? He said yes and the lady helping him said "oh, we must have gotten an order in that I didnt know about. Do you want me to go get you one?"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Naw, there are all kinds of packages. It may cost you $10 for each additional receiver-or it may not.

These guys are giving away the farm to get you subscribed. I had to cough up a 3 bones for my Tivo box, now they're free (fuckers).
