warning: this game is not for SQUARES that browse these forums for looking for a pick in BOLD that they can play (just to have action) because they cant cap the game themselves...This is meant to be FUN and BENEFICIAL to everyone because by planning ahead (for Thursday's games...which the lines come out on Wed afternoon) you wont have to sit at the computer with a blank stare and flip a coin to see what sides you like right before the first pitch.

the object of the game is simple. I will list 5 games (w/ listed starters) and you guys try to guess what the line is going to be...not what it SHOULD be neccessarily. The winners are the people that were the closest to each line.

if there is a pitching change on any of these games, that game will be voided from this contest.

this contest is also a great tool for baseball betting because you should all be doing this anyways :103631605

CLOSEST TO THE opening lines RESULTS:

FLA: D. Willis +106
STL: J. Suppan -114 (doubleparring -120)

KC: J. De La Rosa +295

BAL: D. Cabrera +116

not a very good day for us...but there wasnt that many of us to begin with...

has anybody been making any plays off of these...for instance, last night I faded Jared Weaver (eventhough he plays for my hometown team AND went to my alma mater) because i thought that opening line was WAY off...because i put A LOT of effort into making that line as sharp as possible. (the closing line actually ended right at my projection)

IMO. John Smoltz is on fire right now, but -178 seems a bit high to me...and the fact that no one had thier "line" above that makes me wonder...the public seems to have jumped on the high line so i dont think Vegas is encouraging bettors to bet the Giants. any thoughts?
