WOW! Possible Fixed Tennis Match today?

So this morning I go through the lines at pinnacle and am picking out the ones that are under -200. This one match sticks out to me: Gaston Gaudio vs. Andreas Seppi. Gaudio's a great player and his line is only -111 against Seppi. Automatically a lightbulb flashes and I'm starting to lean towards Seppi to see why is given so much credit. I go back to my book The greek, and I see that the line is not even up. Usually I email The greek about missing lines or bad lines just to help them out. I talk to Wally and he says that we're not putting the line up for this match. I ask, "How come? That's rather strange." He responds back with,

"Because the oddsmaker believes it is a fixed match."

Well, this really hit me hard because we could always dream about these scenarios. If you've got pinnacle, hit Seppi hard then. I believe Gaudio's been a bad boy.

Just for the record guys, I wouldn't be bsing you with lies and fixes. I've been here for almost 2 years so hopefully my word is good here. I am just relaying the message that i received this morning.

don't see much wrong with this line. Gaudio isn't anything special on hardcourts and recently he is struggling with his game. Last match in Toronto (first match on hardcourt since clay season) he was clubbed by Moya. In that match he had 9 winners and 42 unforced errors. He withdrew from Cincy the following week and has been unheard from since.

Seppi is ok with quality wins over Hewitt, Blake and Murray this year. Although as of late he has been scuffling as well.

I first sent this one:

I was looking through your US Open tennis lines and I noticed one of the
games I was considering betting on is not listed. It is the Men's US
Open Gaudio-Seppi match taking place today, and I believe it's rotation
numbers 109 and 110. Can you please let me know if you intend to post a
line for that match, and if not, why not? Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you.

Their response...

The oddsmaker is not posting a line for that match. Sorry.

That's weird. Why isn't the oddsmaker posting a line for that match?
Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

Their response:

He simply is not comfortable with the match as there are rumors of a fix.

So who is it fixed for? Seppi? Gaudio is a seeded player vs. an unseeded player and is barely favored, so it seems the bet would be on Seppi. Any thoughts?

The Greek is letting you decide who is in on the fix. But if we integrate our information, it has to be Gaudio. His form is not good as of late, he is only a -110 favorite over an unseeded player, and Seppi is basically unknown to the average tennis gambler. I'm going to play Seppi at cris since he has great value there. Good Luck guys.

I don't know why you need to force a wager. You're just guessing on who the fix is for, that is if there is even a fix.

It's not like I am going tilt Park but I am going to utilize the information that I received from this morning. Who knows, I may never get this kind of thing again. Greek must have pretty good sources if they are afraid to put up a tennis line in the first round of the U.S. Open.

I don't get the impression you're betting out of your mind at all. Its just I don't understand your thought process for betting on Seppi. If you truly believe a fix is on there is no telling who it is for. Why assume Seppi is the right side? Seppi could have been bought out by Gaudio. Who knows.

I can't understand just guessing and going with it.

Because when you're viewing this match, Gaudio statistically should be a higher favorite. A #21 seed should not be only -110 against an unseeded player who also is not doing well in this hard court season. Maybe Seppi is in on the fix, but from an oddsmaker's point of view, Gaudio should've been favored higher.

Line isn't moving much at Pinny yet the limit is healthy - Pinnacle is buying into the fix and is trying to generate action on Gaudio @ -110?

Same thing at 5dimes - stuck on -117 Gaudio / -113 Seppi, and it's the only match they didn't post a Games Won line for.

Weird.

I'll probably pass. I'm too gay to take a swing.

I agree this would be very unusual as the money at stake for these players is quite significant. It would be irresponsible for a bookmaker to come out and say something like that without pretty solid proof of it.
