Basically the 2006 SENATE will only be in session one month the remainder of the 2006 calendar year ...........if reading this correctly.

Perhaps they come back sometime after OCTOBER 6th before the year is out.............can anyone confirm if they do or not?

They can have a lame duck session in November/early dec if they choose to do so...

Not sure why they call it lame duck? Maybe because no one cares at that point.

If the republicans get voted out of majority, expect them to try to have one of these sessions... Since the dems will be pissed at them for ruining their 3 month vacation, you can expect many to vote against the republican items..

I dont think anyone gives a shit about net gambling - just getting reelected.

IF this does not come up in Sept, I dont think anyone wants to go back off vacation for tihs to come up again... NOt really a pressing issue.
