When you beat a team once in a season, you can call it luck. Twice, lucky again but when you beat a team 4 times in one season, you flat out own them. Such is the case with Greg Maddux. He just knows how to beat the Reds. You add the fact the Reds have lost 5 in a row with that 16 inning loss last night and you couldn't ask for a better spot to grab Maddux. He is 4-0 with a 2.35 ERA versus the Reds. His last start against them he no hit them for 6 innings in a 3-0 win. What also really makes me love Maddux tonight is the fact he is coming off that really tough start last time out versus the D'backs. He gave up 10 hits, four runs although just 2 were earned in a 9-7 loss. He will bounce back against a team he is very confident agianst. Harang was hot during the middle part of the year but since June 23, he is 1-4 on the road with a 4.50 ERA. In 3 career starts versus the Dodgers, Harang is just 1-2 with a 5.30 ERA. As I said before, great spot to grab the Dodgers as the Reds continue to struggle and Maddux dominates them again. My 40 Dime #7 in a row is the Dodgers tonight

Marlins

I had them as a free pick last night as they tied a club record with their ninth straight win. Tonight, I use them as a paid play behind Nolasco. The Marlins righty has been lights out his last three on the road. He's 3-0 with a 2.14 ERA. This Marlins pitching staff is just on fire, picking each other up. If it's not Olsen last night, it's Johnson the night before, Sanchez the night before that. These are young arms pitching like veterans. As I've said before, I'm not a fan of Jason Marquis. When you have a season ERA nearing six, I don't care how many wins you have, you're getting hit. This is his first start versus the Marlins this year but is 3-3 for his career with an ERA over 6. I am going to ride the red-hot Marlins to rough up Marquis just as the Mets did in his last start. They rocked him for 5 runs on 7 hits including 4 walks over 6 innings. When you are struggling as Marquis is, you don't want to see a team that has won nine straight. Dog Marlins are my 10 Dimer tonight.
