I just got off the phone with "Scott" (1-866-3057) from BOS. He said we should be getting paid sometime between 2 weeks and 2 months. He said they are ABSOLUTELY going to pay ALL players balances. When I asked him what the holdup was he said "they were waiting on the DOJ to release the funds". That sounds like bullshit, but it's at least SOMETHING.

I asked him HOW payments are going to be made, he said it looks like either cashiers checks or Neteller. I asked several more questions (from a skeptical perspective), but he said that's why he's there, to answer the phone and give assurances that the players will get paid.

I don't know, seems like we heard it all before, but he had my account right in front of him (to the penny) and sounded sincere. So who knows....

Bullshit is right, since the DOJ ordered them to pay the U.S. players. Given that order, there would be no reason for the DOJ to be tying up funds.

Billsfan: gotta think any free contest winnings will be gone ...

Bill: did the guy specifically say 'balances'?

I don't see any chance of them paying contest money.

Ya, he specifically said "balances". I don't have anything pending so I didn't ask about contests or futures.

Just playing devil's advocate, but why the hell would they pay anyone a penny? What incentive do they have?

There only incentive is to not face extradition for theft. That is a damn big incentive.

If you are bankrupt you are bankrupt.

If you run off with money, you can get arrested for theft.

It is not illegal to run a business into the ground. It is illegal to steal money.

Oh well, they are no longer blaiming Banks and processors after it was proven they never froze jack....at least.

Now its the DoJ, which has NOTHING to do with BoS funds.....since BoS reportedly never acknowledged the TRO....

Sean1, they can enter volountary receivership at any time and once distributed what's left...they can blame some small fish and get away with it...

they can cook their books anyway they want, if they pay everyone in full it will be a miracle, and a shock!

Only way they pay everyone in full is if someone steps in and buys them.

BOS had a ton of squares - the perfect crowd you want if running a big book.

If someone came in and bought BOS and paid everyone in full, I think almost everyone would stick with the new owner (You are certainly financially secure and a damn good guy if you do that)

That someone would have to be someone who absolutely does not care about US law and has deep pockets. MANSION do you hear me?

I wish they would do one thing or another. Quit making excuses! Either pay or give us the finger and run. Then we would know what's up.

They will never give you the finger. As soon as they do that, they face problems. They can be working on paying forever...

why would they tell people they are getting paid if they weren't?

If they were planning on bailing on everyone than there is no need to open up phone lines and take calls from disgruntled players.

I agree...if you are definitely going to screw us, then why have people answering phones? The crap about the servers being sold just is not true. They pulled up my balance to the penny...even had the exact bonus amount to so obviously the servers are still there.
