do root for it to lose or win and why ?

You miss a bet for some reason. Had wrong time, power outage, or something.

Do you want to see it win to reinforce you picked it correctly, or do you want it to lose, to "save" you money you never bet anyway ?

I couldn't care less, and wouldn't even check the score.

I completely ignore it...there is no reason to beat yourself up if it would have won or pat yourself on the back if it lost...complete waste of time...move-on....

I'm strict on making every bet because I hate missing out on +ev, but if I miss the bet it means nothing to me. Waste of time to think about what could have been. If I ever worry about anything I just remember that things happen the way they do and there's nothing you can do about it, so why worry about it? Just accept it and move on. It makes betting and life much less stressful.

How could you ignore it? If you have other bets when you check the score of the other games usually you see the score of the game you missed.

I root for it to lose so it was like I avoided losing money unless I am a fan of that team.

In sports betting, I would consider myself a fool if I liked something and didnt put the wager in on time and it won..........but when it comes to betting horses or dogs and I get shut out.........I am selfish and have to say, that I wish for my dogs/horses that I wanted to bet to not come in!!! (but its my fault regardless if I dont get it in on time).

Well it costs you money anytime you miss a +ev bet. So whether it loses or not you lose ;)

I feel usually when it loses,I saved money, but it is a lucky miss. I don't dwell on it, but human nature ( I think) causes us to follow what the result would have been.

I'm not sure being happy about missing a loser is correct, but I lean that way. Part of me says I should be pissed for not getting in a bet I desired, in the 1st place.

I'm still a baby when it comes to sports betting, so I track it anyway because I want to see whether I'm any good at making my own picks.

Rooting for a bet you would have otherwse made, to lose has contradictions, I think it's a good querie.

I never really miss a bet. If its that good I get it in. At least in MLB when they play everyday a "missed" bet can payoff later.
