hired yet another garbage coach, town was all excited from FALSE Media hype. And West Texas but a Beating on them was 27-3 at one point. Game was not as close as 34-27 inicated. Should have hire Jimmy Harbaugh.

I am glad that Chuck Long is there and still not at Oklahoma. Never did like that guy, nore his play calling. JMHO

Harbaugh would have been a great hire. His own fault though for getting the DUI.

Tough to judge a coach on just one game. His ability to coach and recruit will not be evident until the 3rd or 4th year. He needs to be able to recruit kids for his system.

Coaches do not get enough time these days to actually put their fingerprint on a program. Give the guy some time to build the program.

Only reason got close, was O connel for SDSU got hurt when it was 27-3. O connel reminds me of Long, a 6'5 guy slow feet slow release and sack waiting to happen.

I have to admit I wasn't impressed with Long last night...going for it at the end of the half inside his own territory with 7 secs left, was he trying to pull a Craft?...I did like the way the frosh QB played and the way Hamilton ran in the second half though...

I don't get it. UTEP returns lots of starters including possibly the best QB in the CUSA from a team that went 8-4 last year. UTEP looks primed to win 9 or 10 games this year, no shame in getting beat by them. MTN West is a pathetic conference except for at the top, SDSU will get some wins against the muck.
