Various sportsbooks will owe me around $7k for MLB futures October 1st when the regular season is over.

There are rumors that if the Senate passes the Anti-Gambling Bill in the next few weeks, and it's signed into law by The Shrub, many books will simply keep US players funds and refuse to return them.

I'm not sure I believe that, but I am wondering what the chances are of that happening. How many other BOS-type outfits will simply refuse to pay US customers back if this does become law?

There will be a concern with a run on the bank at many smaller books if this gets passed.

Had I known Frist and the other A-holes would push it this far, I wouldn't have made any MLB futures bets. Hopefully if this gets passed, it will be after October 1st.

I don't know what makes you think they won't pay you if this law passes. It only concerns making deposits with CC and possibly not allowing access to the sites by way of internet. Why do you think this will be enforceable? First of all the bill has to pass, and it won't!

It's amazing how defeatist some people on this board are.

Don't forget what Jay C's organizing:
How many posters here would go on a free trip to DC to speak to their Senators?

Hell, you could even just write your senator directly using the guildelines on the site:

Defeatest? I just said there are rumors some sportsbooks won't pay out if this bill gets passed. I didn't say in my post I belived that.

Now, BMConsultants - go back to defending BOS like you do so well on this board. Tell Clive and the other BOS members we all said hello, next time you speak with them at their annual BBQ, will you?

StuckInVegas- I didn't say it the bill will be enforceable. Re-read my post.

However, I wouldn't be so smug about this bill not passing before the end of this year. If Frist makes it a priority, you'll be in for a shock in the coming weeks.

Instead of wasting your time on me, what are you going to do to stop it being passed?

You have a choice to act you know to stop it happening.

Saying you wouldn't have gambled- with what is your own money after all - is pretty defeatist.

Lobby the fuckers so they won't pass it.
