Twins TV analyst Bert Blyleven said the F word twice in the open of Twins telecast Sunday Vs the Yankees. Blyleven thought they were taping the open but they were on live. He made a mistake & said " F--k, I F--ked it up, lets do it again. He apologized all through out the telecast.

Funny that Blyleven was caught giving himself shit when he thought he was off the air. Reminds of Hebsy, the Leafs play-by-play guy, who thought he was off the air and started giving himself shit for his player interview: "Jesus, I fxxxing butchered that one. Yikes, yikes, yikes."

Guy's gotta get noticed, someway..

Almost 300 Wins, more than 3000 K's, just stuck on bad teams... thus not enough HOF consideration.

He's deserving of Cooperstown!!!!

Blyleven is a piece of work. One of the best laughs I get out of every telecast is how he picked up "Coom Dogg" when talking to Ron Coomer on the sidelines. Since everyone else does it, Bert feels the need to address him as coom dogg every single freaking time.

Bert came to my small town grocery store in Tracy MN as a rookie raising support for upcoming season. I have been big fan since then. Saw him in ALL-Star game in KC, 73 as rookie. Got rocked. Holy sheet...time flies. Big injustice not being in HOF.

- The National League wins the All-Star Game at Kansas City, 7-1. A record 54 players are used, including Willie Mays, who strikes out in his final All-Star appearance, and Catfish Hunter, who sustains a fractured thumb that will sideline him for four weeks. Hunter has a 15-3 record at the time.

Twins will retire Blyleven's No. 28

Blyleven will become the sixth Twins player to have his number retired, joining Harmon Killebrew, Rod Carew, Tony Oliva, Kent Hrbek and Kirby Puckett.
Last update: January 28, 2011 - 6:38 AM

The Twins on Thursday night announced plans to retire Bert Blyleven's old uniform number (28) as part of a special ceremony in mid-July before he's inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Blyleven will become the sixth Twins player to have his number retired, joining Harmon Killebrew (No. 3, retired in 1975), Rod Carew (No. 29, 1987), Tony Oliva (No. 6, 1991), Kent Hrbek (No. 14, 1995) and Kirby Puckett (No. 34, 1997). All major league teams retired Jackie Robinson's No. 42 in 1997.
The Twins are planning Bert Blyleven Day on July 16 with a ceremony before their game against the Texas Rangers. Blyleven's Hall of Fame induction comes July 24 in Cooperstown, N.Y.
"Bert Blyleven Day is aimed at celebrating Bert's incredible contributions on and off the field, while also providing he and his family a proper send-off to Cooperstown," Twins CEO Jim Pohlad said in a statement.
Blyleven, 59, went 149-138 with a 3.28 ERA over 11 seasons with the Twins. He made his major league debut with Minnesota in 1970, was traded to Texas in 1976 and returned to the team from 1985 to '88.
He is the team's career leader in complete games (141), shutouts (29) and strikeouts (2,035). He ranks second in victories and innings pitched (2,566 2/3), and fifth in ERA.
During their annual Diamond Awards banquet Thursday, the Twins presented Blyleven with their Kirby Puckett Award and the Herb Carneal Lifetime Achievement Award.
