I heard someone say that Tyson was one of the best fighters of all time.
What a joke, the guy never fought anybody and when he did, well he lost.

What do you think?

Early Tyson (86-88) was a beast who had it all, huge puncher with excellent defense... hell, he could even box for 10-12 rounds. Too bad he fought old guys and journeymen during that time, 'cause he probably would've beaten anyone.

From Buster Douglas and on, he became complacent and very ordinary.

Very hard to find him a single spot in a Top-100 type of list, cause there's clearly two Tyson eras.

Really thinking back I think the best HW of our era or the past 25 years has to be Lennox Lewis. I didn't use to like him because I thought he was boring but as I became more of a boxing fan and matured over the years, I can appreciate his skills and work in the ring. Outside of the two one punch KO losses in his career, who has the credentials this man has. He retired on his own terms and left the boxing world wanting more. Lennox vs Ali would have been a great fight to see.

Hard to tell b/c he fell apart mentally before he was in his prime physically

Tyson went through several personal changes prior to the Douglas fight and it was obvious that he didn't train properly going in. He wasn't right during that fight and it didn't help that he always stuggled against tall fighters that could box a little. At 5'10" and 71" reach...Tyson was very short for a heavyweight, he had to be in great shape to beat tall fighters.

Anyway...if you go by what Tyson did in his career and forget about what he could have done...he's not one the best heavyweights of all time, let alone one of the best fighters of all time.

Off topic

Green Bay is a train wreck right now, two rookies on the O-line against that nasty D-line of Chicago. I understand that Chicago is not great offensively but they are solid and GB is horrible on defense. Chi should be able to run the ball at will. I realize Chicago usually wins close games, esp on the road, so I see your angle. But if Favre pulls a Farve and throws 2 or 3 ints which is very possible with that O-line not giving him time...this could get ugly. Farve himself admitted that they are a very young team thats still not ready.

I only bring this up b/c I like Chicago -2.5 -150

I think the Arizona half of your teaser is solid, but I would put them with New Eng at -2.5 instead of GB

Btw, I'm not questioning you...just giving my opinions, would like to hear your thoughts on GB this week

Green Bay is not bad bro... They have alot of new players especially on DEFENSE. A.J HAWK is a beast. GREEN BAY will simply try harder bro, If they get blown out at HOME in their first game of the year I would be shocked...

Don't forget GB lost 8 games last year by a TD or less.. They were there in almost every game..They just don't get blown out man..

Actually prime mike tyson in my opinion was 1 of the most talented heavyweights in history. If you look at the power and speed. 1986 Mike had combinations that were similair to my boy Ray leonard. The problem was in late 1988 he started messing around with Roben givens, not training,he let go Kevin rooney. Even the fight before douglas he didnt look the same against Frank Bruno. Then after the douglas fights,he was off 4 to 5 yrs. Thats a long time to be off. A lot of ppl say he couldnt win the big fights, but forget when he had those big fights,he was 10 to 15 yrs past his prime. 1996 Evander. 2002 Lewis. Mikes prime was 86 thru 88
