2-3 (-4.32 units) yesterday
155-124 (+48.36 units) overall

I have definitely cooled off some, the losing days are becoming more frequent. Last night I gave back everything that I won on Monday. I know it sounds hard to believe, but I have lost alot of interest in baseball, other than watching my phillies, despite my great second half I am having. I am still going to stick to my word and if I lose back to back nights, I am done, so tonight is a must win day in order for me to continue posting my plays. I have not had a long losing streak in the second half yet and I get the feeling one is due. It may be a good thing to stop while I am ahead anyway. Time will tell. Here is what is on tap for Wednesday.

I have been waiting all morning for all the lines. There were three or four games that just now (10:15) came out. i guess there were alot of undecided pitchers today.

detroit -151 vs seattle (3 units).............I know the tigers have really slowed down after the allstar break, but I think that is normal when you jump out to the huge lead they had. It would be hard to be up for everygame. Now that there lead is getting smaller, I get the feeling they are going to heat up again. It starts today with Mr. Rogers on the hill. In his last three starts he is 3-0, with an era of 0.43. Detroit still has a great home record, while Seattle in not very good on the road. I am shocked as well as Rogers has pitched recently that this line is not closer to 200. I see a ton of value in this one. I love day games on my day off work, especially ones that I make money on.

st louis -1.5 vs washinton (3 units)..............No way this game should lose, but that does not mean it won't. That is why I am playing the runline. It won't cost me as much if it does go down. The way Carpenter is throwing the ball, this should be a winner. It looks like Albert is starting to heat up for the cards as well. It feels like the cards are having a bad year, so it is surprising that they have a six game lead in the division. I guess it goes to show just how good they are. Even when they suck, they are still better than most. Pitching has been their problem this year and I don't see a problem today in that area. Should be easy.

San Diego -140 vs Colorado (2 units)..............THOSE GOOFY PADRES. I only say that because I am a phillies fan and they just don't want to give up the wildcard lead. It is now at two games over my phillies. They just seem to find ways to win games lately. I am going to stick with the hot team who finds ways to win in the late innings. Not too bad a price for a team playing that way.

Florida -159 vs Arizona (2 units)............Despite the loss with Willis pitching last night (who would of though it), the Marlins are still playing good ball. They just ran into a pitcher in Vargas who was throwing extremely well. It was a fluke. Arizona is toast while Florida is the hottest team in the national league right now. I am not going to jump of their bandwagon because of last night. Still pretty good odds to the a red hot home team vs an ice cold road team.

Phillies -101 vs Houston (1 unit)............I went with the phils last night with the same matchup, so I guess I need to take it again today. Last night was for two units, so I downgraded it to one. Just a feeling. With Pettite it seems to be all of nothing. The guys has 13 wins, which is pretty good, but at the same time he leads the league in losses with 13. Who shows up today? I am still amazed that Randy Wolf has done what he has done after taking a year off. I got this from the phillies website.....The Astros' roster is a combined 9-for-69 (.130) in their careers against Wolf.
The astros are already know for being a light hitting team, so it does not look good for them. The phils finally broke the astros jinx with a win on Monday, so I hope that is over. I will take Wolf and an offense led by Ryan Howard in todays game.

I always play two one unit games and I cannot find another one I like today. That is very strange for me, so I think I am going to try a total today, just for something different.

under 8.5 (-104) seattle/detroit (1 unit)..............Just a feeling here. Rogers has been almost unhittable in his last three starts and unless the tigers who have been struggling offensively break out the lumber today, this game should go under. I usually suck at totals, so anyone who follows my plays would be smart to take over in this one.

Pressure is on. Need to win today to keep posting. Win or lose I will be back with an update Thursday morning, even though it may be my last.

Good Luck Everybody!!
