Just got my ATM card recently and was reading the fee schedule...and was quite shocked at this fee....

:pucking: Monthly Maintenance Fee: $4.95 per month
....wtf is that for. It's an ATM card and they want to charge a monthly fee to use it. . They already get $2.95 for ATM fees and $2.50 for POS fee's.

I have a ICC (www.internetcashcard.com) from SBG Global and they dont have a monthly fee...and have had one for years...

Not 100% certain, but I am pretty sure betJamaica will cover those fees for regular clients. Definitely worth looking into befor making an initial withdrawal though....and worth finding out if the $4.95 is taken out monthy, all at once, ect. If the card is only funded a few times a year, then what?? I too was confused about how this works.

Also worth noting -- it seems as though BJ has issued two types of cards....the Elite Card, and a newer one with the betjamaica logo on it (imagine using that at a local establishment).....Curious if they work the same, ect. I was excited about the card, but now it seems to offer more questions than answers.

The card I have has a visa logo on it and it says Multi Credit Bank as the issuer. Its a pre-paid visa card...from the call I had the fees are monthly so thats $59.40 per year in fees in addition to the atm fees.

Have not activated the card yet...will wait until I get a WD.

4.95 a month isnt that bad when the normal withdrawal is around 20 bucks, depends on how much you withdraw, but too me thats alright.

that would be great if they didn't charge $2.95 ATM fee in addition to the POS fee. If you can only take out $500 at a time then your paying alot more than $20 per WD

That fee was not in the fine print...I made a WD this morning, took about 2 hours to hit the card. When i logged in to check my balance on my card $2.00 was deducted for an activation fee.

TheCooler:
It took me 4 days to get the card and I think the max you WD is $500.00 per day

This card is driving me crazy.. I have been to 3 different atm machines and I can't WD any money. It says that I don't have money even though the www.mymcbcard.com says I have $$ in my account. Has anyone used the new ATM card? Do I need to transfer the $ to the www.elitepaysystems.com site. I have registered at both sites and linked the card to that site. Any help would be appreciated..thanks

<!-- / icon and title -->Maxdemo,

Sorry for the struggle / confusion.
The quick and easy way to withdraw funds from your BetJM account to your debit card is to simply submit your request thru the BetJM site. The short email form is located on our banking page at http://www.betjm.com/asi/wpbanking.asp.
It's not necessary to register, transfer or go thru other sites etc. All registering is done for you when the card is issued to simplify everything. You can also access your debit card activity online to review transactions and purchases.

You mention that you're currently having trouble with the ATM machines; to get immediate resolution with your situation, please call the debit card provider direct at 1 866 371 4377 ext. 16.

We cover all fees for our active clients except the actual ATM transaction fee which is $2.95 (our current international bank card unfortunately is a dollar higher than some).

It is fairly new for us however they have working perfectly for everyone. Your situation is the first so please call me personally at 800 329 2640 once resolved. I'd like to understand what happened.

Scotty

I think always trying to find an edge or the best number and value really turns you guys into cheapos. I mean its only $4.95 cents? I remember clients taking out $50,000 cashiers checks and then complaining about the damn $30 Fed-Ex fee. Its something I never understood :icon_conf

Scotty thanks for the info..i I've never had one problem with the customer service that I have received from betjam. When I received the card I did have to set up the card on 2 sites but as soon as I did the cards were in fact linked. The message on from the ATM machine stated the it could not complete my transaction...it was like it could not reach the issuer. I called earler and Herman at betjam was looking into the problem for me. He said he woukd shoot me an email. You may call me at my number on file if you have any questions....and again thanks for your help.
One great thing about the betjam ATM card is that it has a visa logo on it so I can use this in more places.
Ps: scotty any way that you can add some betting options will be greatly appreciated..I love betting on your site w/ my Tmobile Sidekick2..

FI,
I have atm card from another book that has no fees..just from the machine. I'm not trying to be a "cheapo"...just stating some info on the card.

I know Maxdemo.... I was just playing around. I hate the damn Neteller fees using their debit card. I lose about $200 a month in fees just because I am afraid they'll fuck the wire up coming in to Costa Rica when I need it most.........
